Deadmau5 to Headline First Ever Clubhouse Festival at Maryland Million

The Stronach Group, owners of Laurel Park, announced today the addition of the Clubhouse Festival to the upcoming Maryland Million race day on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

The Stronach Group and Club Glow, who are also partners for the fan favorite Moonrise Music Festival, will bring Grammy nominated headliner Deadmau5 to the first ever Clubhouse Festival. Grammy nominated Steve Aoki and a host of other top tier performers, including incredible Maryland and DC region talent, will round out the festival line-up. The Clubhouse Festival will kick off with a tailgate party unlike any other featuring Lost Kings, the homegrown DJ duo who earned global recognition for their official remixes and performances at Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival, as well as Wifisfuneral, the new Interscope signee and XXL Freshman best known for his breakthrough mixtapes, “Black Heart Revenge” and “When Hell Falls.” The tailgate will be presented by Top Tier, one of the premiere collegiate nightlife, promotion, and marketing companies in the country.

A first of its kind event, the Clubhouse Festival will offer an entertainment experience that will introduce the sport of Thoroughbred horse racing to a new generation of fans. Named for its position around the first turn at historic Laurel Park, the Clubhouse Festival will offer 10,000 guests the only live racing and music festival event in the region to occur during the collegiate school year, where fans will get to enjoy both a trackside view of the races and the show.

Tickets are available at www.ClubhouseFest.com.

“We are really excited to work with Club Glow to bring The Clubhouse Festival to life during the Maryland Million,” said Belinda Stronach, Chairman and President, The Stronach Group. “We wanted to build upon what is already a great Thoroughbred horse race for the state, and take it to the next level, by creating a new event that can attract and excite the next generation of fans.”

Established in 1999, Club Glow is the longest running electronic dance music promotion company in DC. The company also owns and operates Echostage, voted the #1 Club in the US and #4 in the world featuring regular A-listers, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Skrillex and David Guetta. As part of the Clubhouse Festival, Echostage will be hosting a VIP area, featuring an elevated viewing platform, bottle service and private restroom facilities giving fans an option for a superior festival experience.

The Maryland Million is a one-day stakes card offering purses totalling $1 million USD and is restricted to the progeny of nominated stallions standing in the state. The Maryland Million ranks second in the state to only the Preakness Stakes for purse money distributed, attendance, on-track wagering and simulcast handle.
