Deep, Progressive and Hot!: Senseless Live Premieres New Music July 6

When established DJ and producer John Glassey and vocalist and songwriter Kim Sykes combined their creative juices together, did the Canadian duo know that their future was well set for recognition and success? Perhaps. Glassey and Sykes bring different musical backgrounds to creative process developing a sound that has become their own- a deep, progressive and tech House inspired style. Within just a few months of their new partnership, Senseless Live released their debut single ‘Speak,’ a production that displays their chemistry and songwriting prowess, followed up with ‘Ricochet,’ a fantastic single that would deservedly go on to be included on Capital Heaven’sMiami Compilation,’ released in March 2015.

John Glassey has been on the scene producing and DJing for over ten years working with legendary musicians that include heavies John Acquaviva, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Joeski, Nathan Barato, Carlo Lio, Fred Everything, Kevin Yost, Jonny White and Kenny Glasgow. It’s because of his unique style and vision that has afforded him the luxury to signing with some of today’s most recognized and respected labels such as KMS, Moxi, SP Recordings and Filter, whilst enjoying massive support from contemporaries such as John Acquaviva, Kevin Yost, Mastiksoul, Tony Thomas, Hernan Catteneo, Tyler Stadius, Carlos Francisco, Demi, Dantiez and Damarii Saunderson, Hermanez and Nick Holder just to name a few. During his musical ten year plus journey, Glassey has managed to put his signature on a staggering 150 projects, 6 of which ended up on Beatport’s ‘Top 100’ with another 2 tracks in the ‘Top 10.’

Kim Sykes is an Edmonton based vocalist and songwriter and has been singing and writing for as long as she remembers and credits her musical nurturing and encouragement to her family. Prior to teaming up with Glassey to form Senseless Live, Kim has collaborated with fellow Edmonton based DJ and producer Parnell Paul, landing opening spots for IO in 2014. With such high profile alliances, Kim Sykes’ work within Senseless Live is now proving that she’s become one of the hottest up-and-coming electronic music vocalists.

It took the duo only a short eight months of working together to develop an exciting project which is starting to gain attraction and buzz. Undoubtably, there will be great opportunities and exposure  ahead in 2015 including a heavy touring schedule and more massive releases down the line.

Their ‘Ricochet Remix EP’ is out now, featuring reworks from the likes of Framewerk and James Daxx among others, and their much anticipated album ‘Intentions’ will be out on Monday, July 6, 2015. We’ll be paying attention and you, the BEATSELECTOR reader, should as well.
