The Avener, A So French Touch of Elegance

The Avener, a French music mastermind who produces sweeping deep house music, has made a creative statement that compels one to dance or chill.

Also known as Tristan, the artist has achieved a milestone with the success of his 2013 remixed single Fade Out Lines, an irresistible and sophisticated rhythmic banger, blending Blues, Jazz, Folk, and Funk, reaching #1 on the German iTunes charts, and blowing up globally, something that has not been accomplished by a French artist in recent memory.

Leading up to his success and the release of his first full length album titled The Wanderings of The Avener, he worked endlessly finding that perfect balance: mixing acoustic and electro combining songwriting with the intuition of a dance-floor specialist. In addition to writing his own music for the album, he also covers the music of Sixto Rodriguez, John Lee Hooker, Mazzy Star, The Be Good Tanyas, Andy Bey and Adam Cohen, creating a musical wonderland of seminal blues, underground folk, nocturnal pop, ironic rock and the work of forgotten artists from the 70s and 80s.

The Wanderings Of The Avener, has been described as a sophisticated electro manifesto in the spirit of St Germain and his Boulevard’s nu-jazz sampling, calling on the styles of Moby and Wankelmut, King Britt and Cassius. The Avener’s delicate, radiant style has been welcomed as a So French Touch of Elegance and acclaimed as the missing link between harmonic emotion and the urge to dance worldwide.
