Video of the Week October 16: Null+Void “Where I Wait” featuring Dave Gahan

One of the big surprises – although not the only one- included in the debut LP of the Swiss-born New Yorker Null + Void (Kurt Uenala) is “Where I Wait.” The song, out now, features Depeche Mode‘s singer Dave Gahan. Both of them joined forces and talent to explore the darkest and violent-side of love. The Video, directed by Tim Saccenti, has just been published (watch above all the links). “Cryosleep” LP (hfn music), is set to be released at the beginning of November (pre-order here). In addition to Dave Gahan, you will hear Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Big Pink and Light Asylum who participated in this project as well.

Kurt, before venturing on this solo project, has produced artists such as Moby, Sara Bareilles, Soulsavers, Black Ryder … and the Depeche Mode itself. Described as a prodigious musician, a “lifer”: no matter where he is or what he’s doing, music is the focus. He is a synthesizers-lover -he was encouraged to make music thanks to Ryuichi Sakamoto– fan of dreamy pop music and cinematic sounds (sci-fi soundtracks and masterpieces of cinema like Blade Runner are a great inspiration for him), pure electro as well (from Detroit or artists such as Schneider TM).
