Hernán Cattáneo: Slow Down Is Not In His Vocabulary

For 30 plus years, Hernán Cattáneo has championed the Argentinean underground sound through his unrelenting dedication, an unparalleled set of technical skills and a network of international supporters ranging from established artists such as Danny Howell, Guy J, Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and John Digweed, as well as mentored newcomers Guy Mantzur, Marc Poppcke and Amber Long. Hernán’s collective discography lists dozens of original singles, remixes and compilations that document his musical vision and interpretations of progressive underground house and techno music. It all began for Cattáneo back in the 1980s with his first residency at Buenos Aires’s iconic venue Clubland. Serving as a career launch pad of sorts, he would go on to earn and gain opportunities ranging from record contracts to high profile performances all over the world. Cattáneo is well known as a lover of all kinds of music and as such, always delivers high quality cutting-edge musicianship and songwriting with each project he releases. This is one of many reasons why he consistently receives accolades and critical praise year after year, decade after decade. This summer will see Hernán release a double disc spanning 33-tracks for Balance Music. The package represents a continuation of exquisite mixing, song selection and diversity, and should be hitting stores and outlets soon. In the meantime, he has announced a huge string of dates kicking off in Tirana, Albania that began on July 3rd  and wraps up in Cancun, Mexico on December 1. The current itinerary includes stops at ADE, Rise Up Festival, Balalton Sound Festival, Tomorrowland , Loveland Festival, as well as club appearances in major cities on every corner of the globe. Hernán Cattáneo has had a spectacular career and continues to impress, this is without a doubt and it appears the prolific DJ and producer has no plans of slowing down. Again, a new forthcoming 2CD set consisting of 33 handpicked songs and multi-monthly booking now through December ensure fans-new and old-a musical experience based on his always evolving and highly personal musical ideals dating back to his beginnings.
