Ramon Tapia New EP ‘Split Second’ Coming April 1

Ramon Tapia is a guarantor for hot nights in international clubs. This is reflected in his work as a musician and that he doesn’t feel any bondage to genres. He masterfully delivers tracks from house to techno – in essence making dancefloor rockers!  Tapia has delivered a 4 track EP to and for the Berlin based My Favourite Freaks Music label titled Split Second EP. It’s a dark techno collection appropriate to the cold season.

According to the Press Release the title track ‘Split Second’ starts with house beat loops and high strings, which gets the right groove with the rolling main theme, a constantly moving and filtered rave bass pad, building up the beat in combination with vocal stabs, until – oh yes! up to the climax!  You can’t escape the sound!

Ramon’s second track ‘Warehouse’ is a bit more Techno. Industrial percussion sounds shape the track from beginning to end. A fast playing bassline is for the groove, different synth sounds, which alternate with more aggressive vocal cuts, are for the overall mood of the song. The break down cuts the main groove and brings everything down to level zero, but with ecstatic drum rolls he pushes the track to another explosion. The track is also remixed by Wehbba, exchanging the ‘Warehouse’ beats with his own typical and shuffling groove. He inserts all sound elements skillfully into the new construct of his remix – a new more Detroit-like mood is the result. Drum fills dominate the whole track, which is 100% a dancefloor killer!

M.in collaborates with Franz Alice Stern to work on an own interpretation of the original track ‘Split Second’. 909 beats are the basis of the rave bass pad of the source track, which escalates again with a great hands up moment because of new bassline and a great synthesizer melody. It’s time to start the festival season!

Look for Ramon Tapia’s Split Second on My Favourite Freaks Music label, available April 1, 2016.
